Early last month, Seed&Spark founder Emily Best launched The Distribution Playbook, a free database for information on all aspects of distribution, made in collaboration with indie-film distributor and exhibition platform Kinema.
The Playbook is a living document that will be updated semi-regularly with new case studies, information, and corrections from filmmakers, producers, and others in the indie film world. Already, though, it features a lot of practical information and resources for indie filmmakers navigating their film’s release. It breaks down each step in the process, giving a broad overview, defining key terms, and providing templates and models.
