When I started this newsletter back in late 2023, one of the goals was to help film workers link up, get jobs, and ultimately make great movies. To foster a sense of community at a time when the indie landscape is as tough as it’s ever been. The Listings section of the newsletter has been a way to highlight the various opportunities that arise each week. But recently, I’ve been thinking that it could be beneficial to have a single document that producers could consult when they’re seeking crew, gear, or scripts to develop. So, I created this spreadsheet.
It’s pretty self-explanatory. There are three different tabs, where A) Crew can list themselves and their availability; B) Equipment owners can list the gear they have on offer and how much they’re charging; or C) Writers can list a script they’ve written for which they’re seeking a producer and/or director.
Hopefully, this will help people find work, forge new connections, and spend less time posting stories to Instagram. I’d love for you to sign up, share it with friends — and also, to provide any feedback you might have about how to improve this directory (email nothingbogus1@gmail.com).
Thanks, and see you next week!
